What platform will you build it on?
I tend to use WordPress on most projects, but it is not a requirement. WordPress is extremely popular (powering over 45% of all websties), reliable and has a vast ecosystem of developers producing high-quality plugins to extend its capability. Alos, wsing WordPress allows you to own your site, where with other platforms you are basically just renting it from the owner of the platform.
Shopify is a quality choice for ecommerce websites.
Webflow and Framer are interesting and growing in recent years.
Can you help with content and copywriting?
I certainly can. Planning the overall structure of the site is covered in every project, but often folks need some form of help with the writing tasks required for a successful site. Typically, I will assist will locating and licensing suitable photography, video etc. for the site. Any division of responsibilities will be known before the project is started, so you can plan accordingly.
Can you help with branding and logo design?
I can, either directly, or by working with one of the many talented graphic designers I have collaborated with over the last couple decades.
I'm not sure how to market my business. Can you help?
Absolutely! I’d start with understanding your business in detail. Who is the typical customer? Who is the customer you most wish to attract? What marketing has been tried previously, was it effective, and why did you stop, etc.? Then I’ll work up a list of options and approaches that would lead to success. My clients commonly gain traffic, leads and customers via organic search, online advertising on platforms like Google, Facebook and Bing, content creation on social and their own website, and email marketing (among others).
What's your payment structure?
Typically, a deposit is taken at project start followed by a final payment at project launch. Maintenance work and related services for current clients are commonly billed after completion. Some annual services, such as web hosting, are paid in advance of the year of service. Generally, I make every effort to be transparent about pricing so you can budget accordingly without surprises.
